Two Challenges

This first card uses a sketch from (sketchsaturday.blogspot.com). I used a new stamp for me. It is from (allthatscraps.com) and is called Swiss Pixie Birgitta. She really is a cutie. I used some old dp scraps and colored with copics. I also addded a bit of Stickles and brown Liquid Applique. I love the flowers with the courdoury brads.

Next, is is a sketch from (iheart2stamp.com). I may have gotten a little carried away with the flowers. He he. The paper is new SU Christmas Cocoa and is actually flocked. Stamp is from (allthatscraps.com) and is called Mistletoe and Mice from Stampavie. Again, I used copics to color and added a few foo foo brads and ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!

Praying for Nellie

I made this little card for my friend at work and her dog. The dog has cancer and is living day to day at this point. My friend is very sad and I feel for her.

This is my first time to make a Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge (SSC47). It is from the blog www.kgiron.blogspot.com. When I saw that it was long and skinny, my mind immediately went to work on this card. I just bought some 3 5/8 x 6 1/2 envelopes and wanted to make a fun size card to put in them. This card is 3 1/4 x 6 1/4.
Stamps = SU's Wellness Wishes
DP = Dogs & Cats by Design Originals
Embellys = Wal~Mart Ribbon (LUV
This dp has a long story on how I acquired it, but I won't tell it. Just know that it is special! LOL
It is dated 2006, but I like to pull it out from time to time, and it was perfect for this projects!

Turkey Time

Bring on the Turkey! Well, I'm not really wanting to make fall cards this year. I want to concentrate on Christmas. I want to make my own Christmas cards this year. So, you'll probably be seeing a lot of them here.
But before I get started on those, I wanted to use this new Inkadinkado stamp a bought at HL this week from the clearance box... go figure! I thought he was a good investment for my collection. The paper is a mixture of SU Parisian Breeze and DCWV Luxury Stack. I used my new Fleur De Lis Shapeabilities Pendant and added some small pearls. Accents = Walmart ribbon, SU buttons, and CTMH felt die cuts.
I am THANKFUL you stopped by!

An Apple a Day...

This little Emma Stamp comes from allthatscraps.com. I received it about a week ago, but haven't had time to ink it up. I really like these stamps from CC Designs.

This weekend, I'm trying to use up some of my older DP. This paper is SU's Bella Rose. This card was super easy and fast to make. I turned MOJO108 sideways and added this beautiful ribbon from Wal~Mart. Finally, I used my copics to color Apple Emma. Enjoy!

A Girly Pumpkin Emma

I think this little cutie may be from the flower child era. I know pink isn't traditionally a fall color, but I think it is very charming on little Emma... and, I was trying to use some DP that has been gathering dust. (SU's Sweet Always)These are some stamps I just received today from 7kidscollegefund.com. The pumpkins and fence are sold separately. The main stamp is Pumpkin Emma. They are from the Sugar Plums collection of CC Designs. So very cute. I also received my Nestabilites Pumpkins in this order and a bunch of other fun stuff to play with. I'm sure I'll be showcasing them tomorrow between loads of laundry.
This super sketch is naturally from Jen Del Muro's iheart2stamp.com Sketch For You To Try. She posts a new sketch every Saturday, and the first thing I do every Saturday is check for the SFYTT. I am so excited to announce that I won last week's SFYTT random drawing! Jen is sending me a little something in the mail this week and I can't wait to see what it is! Thank you Jen & Tony...(Tony drew my # and was impressed that I was a Sooner Fan!)
Anyway, Hope you enjoy this little card, and have a Great weekend!

2 Just 4 U

These 2 cards are the last of my Christmas workshop. I used CTMH's December Word Puzzle for this one and some old DP I had. I also used a CB embossing folder. Super quick and easy.I love the huge ribbon bow on this one. The stamp is The Manger from Penny Black. I punched the star and put it on pop dots. It is colored with Copics. The card shape was made with my Nestabilities Labels. I folded a piece of 4 x11 CS in half long ways. The I just left the die hanging off of the paper a tiny bit on the left side. Love the result! Didn't love cutting out 50+ for the workshop. Hey, my girls are worth it! Luv U Guys!

SFYTT

This card looks strange to me. It has a white border on the bottom that you cannot see in this scan. Again, I used the Jingle paper from CTMH and the Stamp of the Month Holiday Warmth.Hope you like it!

Baby Jack & A Reindeer

Baby Jack is one week old today. This picture was taken the day he was born. He weighed 6lbs 12 oz and was 18 inches long. He is a wee little thing! Next is a card we will make at my next workshop. It is all CTMH. Stamps = Heartfelt Christmas. Paper = Jingle

The Last of the Everyday Celebration Cards

Yes, this is the last two sketches for the Everyday Celebration Card Kit. I really had fun with these two remakes. The original Happy Birthday cake is very cute, but I love me some cutie patootie owls. This little guy has flowers for eyes and was perfect for my friend Janet.
This next remake was made using CTMH's On the Farm. I love this tractor. Really makes me think of my dad. And since I stamped it in brown, you can just imagine that is is a beautiful "Case IH" red. Not ugly John Deer Green! LOL
Tomorrow is Friday, so maybe I'll have a great SFYTT and more challenges to post this weekend.
Happy October!

Young Romance

First of all, there is no YELLOW on this card! My scanner does not do this card justice. Sorry. The true color is a light bamboo toile. This paper is very old CTMH Heirloom. I love the richness of it. The stamp set is Childhood Portrait. I used several different nestabilities and a corner rounder to make the different shapes. I then added ribbon, clear Dew Drops, some embossed paper flowers and a cute little brad in the center. I also popped the main image up on pop dots. This is yesterdays SFYTT.

Enjoy!

Let's Celebrate Some More

Well, here are original cards #4, #5, and #6 with a variation. They are posted here in reverse order. Ooops! Card #6 & #5 variation are made using Treetops stamp set. I think I've mentioned before how much I enjoy using this stamp set. I love to add embellishments to the trees. It is so fun to play with.
Card #4 uses the Backwoods stamps. This is the first time I have used this set. I really like it, too. I guess I have a thing about trees. Does that make me a "Tree Hugger?" Probably not! LOL! I bought Backwoods and the Back Country Paper from the CTMH Summer Idea Book to use in my vacation album. We went to Durango, CO. I have big plans, but haven't got much done yet. I will post later as I make some progress.

Anyway, I used pop dots on the two smaller trees. I really like the effect. Hope you'll check back tomorrow. I plan to show the final two cards and their variations.
Thanks for stopping by again!

Five Cards...One Post

Not feeling great today, so I hope to make this post short and sweet. On this first card, I used a new stamp from Rachelle Ann Miller called Giving Shelter. The paper is DCWV Blossoms & Butterflies Stack. All papers are "glittered & foiled," which is what attracted me to this paper stack. I also used my CB embossing folder and copics for coloring. This card was made early in the summer, so I don't remember if it is from a sketch challenge or not. These next card are installments #2 and #3 of the Everyday Celebration Card Kit from CTMH. Again, I made the original using the Instruction Guide, then slightly altered the second one with stamps I already have in my collection to show diversity. This cute little Boer Goat is not from CTMH, but everything else is CTMH. The barbed wire is from On the Farm.
I used Surprise! stamps on this final cards and a little contraband bling. This is probably my least favorite of the ones I did on my own. My Copic Colors do not match my paper the way I would like for them to.

Stop by tomorrow. Hopefully I will have a SFYTT card to show and I will have a new installment from the Everyday Celebration Kit. Have a wonderful weekend.

Everyday Card Kit Card #1

I made the card on the right following the instructions. The card on the left is the same pattern with the "You Rock" stamp set and I added a flower instead of the "Celebrate" circle. Close To My Heart is currently offering the everyday card kit for FREE if you spend $60 on new stamps. Well, that sounds super to me. It includes Everyday Celebration Stamps, Chocolate Mini-Medleys, cardstock and paper, cards and envelopes, chocolate and blue distressing inks. It really is a super value. It also comes with a full color step-by-step instruction brochure. You receive enough paper to make 16 cards.
Check back tomorrow for Card #2 with a variation.
Thanks for stopping by.

Itty Bitty Tree Tops

Just wanted to share two quick cards I made this summer before I'm off to play Bunco. Gosh, I don't remember the last time I played Bunco. I'm really looking forward to it. This first card is an old card sketch. I'm pretty sure it is SFYTT, but I really don't remember. The stamps are from CTMH's Treetops. I really have enjoyed this funky little set. I love how you can change it up with buttons or brads or layer the pieces for a 3-D effect. The paper is Basic Gray's Lime Ricky. I used my CB embossing folder, paper flowers, brads and orange ribbon from Wal~Mart.
Finally, this little cutie is Baby Itty Bitty from the Happy Hoppers collection. The sentiment is from Verve. I made this card for a card swap on SCS. This too was made from an old card sketch. A Mojo Monday I believe. The paper is DCWV.

Thanks for stopping by. Come back tomorrow when I will begin previewing my CTMH Everyday Celebration Card Kit with the original cards and a set that I altered slightly.

Fall Is Here

Wow! I can't believe May 17 was the last time I posted! I guess I've been in a funk! Well, the Dr. did say I was suffering from anemia. I was 2 pints low in the middle of August. I'm sure I was low all summer because I was very lethargic and had no stamping mojo. He prescribed pre~natal vitamins. No! I am not pregnant, however, they do seem to help my energy level. I may have to have some other tests run later to see what is causing the anemia. For now, I am ready to stamp and maybe even do a little bit of scrapbooking. This first card, I used the Sweet Home collection from the CTMH Fall/Winter Idea Book. The stamp set is Childhood Portrait. I heat embossed the image of the children. I used my Swiss Dots CB Embossing Folder and Chocolate Bella Baubles. Oh yea, I also cut the flower shapes with nestabilities.
Well, this card looks better in person... I think. My idea was to make the leaves look like they were turning. I really like the swirls in this Flourished Blessing stamp set from CTMH. Sometimes things just don't turn out like you would like or them to. Again, I used the Sweet Home paper. An Flame Baubles.

Anyway, I plan to give these to my hostess club members. We were going to make these at our workshop last Monday. I had to cancel the workshop, but my ladies deserve to get a little treat so I made these for them.
Check back tomorrow. I have more cards to share, but didn't want to post them all at once.

Just a Little MOJO

I used the MOJO86 sketch to begin this card. However, I didn't follow it exactly.
This card is for a bridal shower at work. The wedding colors are orange (she is an OSU grad) & teal. I hope you like it.

I'm Not A Complete Slacker!

Well, I've been really busy! I made six of these for a Christian All Occasion Swap on SCS. I love this stamp & scripture from Verve. I pretty much went all SU on this card. I used their craft paper for the card base and the Parisian Blue Paper pack. The flowers and ribbon are also SU. CS & ink is CTMH. The garter ribbon is from Stamping Bella. Love this stuff!
The thing that's really been keeping me busy is this Thank You Note:
Front:

I made 48 of these suckers! We sent them to the People who bid on Brekyn at the Premium Sale. Next time, I think we'll send photocards and let someone else do all the work!
Inside the card:
The DP, CS, & ribbon is CTMH. The cute goat stamp is from Whiff of Joy. We tried to keep it real simple since we had to make so many!

After these 2 projects, I took a little stamping break. Now, I hope I have my Mojo back and plan to do some stamping soon.

Hugs!

Totally Stamp-Lifted!

How About these Colors! Whoa Nellie! Get your sun glasses out!
I didn't choose them myself, they are the color challenge for this week from TCPTUES53 at the Cat's Pajamas. I haven't decided if I like this card or not. It will have to be for someone VERY special.Deets: Colors = Raspberry Pink, Pumpkin Orange and Sunny Yellow
Paper = Basic Gray
Stamps = Verve's Bunny Duet, Sentiment = Verve's Everlasting Life
Bellies = various ribbons & ric rac, SU felt flowers, flower brads, tiny pearls & pop dots
Stamplifted from = Pickled Paper Designs

Now this next card, I am very fond of! Love the colors and the card sketch (TECC62). I found a card very similar to this posted on the Scalloped Edge, and just had to make my version. Again, I used some of my Yummy new Verve stamps. This one is called Practically Perfect. Love it for baby cards. The paper is SU's Parisian Breeze. Since this is a boy card, I tried to keep it simple. No pearls, diamonds, or ribbons on this one.

I love to read your comments! They make me feel so special!

Half Price Papper and Verve Will do the Trick

Hello, Thanks for stopping by. I've got 3 sketch challenges for you today. They all offer blog candy, so cross your fingers that I win! This first card I made for Roe to send over seas to a friend fighting in the war. This is one of my favorite scriptures. I also have it written on my dining room wall. I used today's Mojo Monday Week 81 sketch. This is a super easy sketch and great to use up some of those scraps laying around. The scripture and cross are from Verve's Jeremiah 29:11. The paper is a pad of half price "Luxury Stack" I picked up from Hobby Lobby. I don't know if you can tell in the pics, but it is "pearlized". Very shimmery. I only added a bit of SU ribbon and some brown baubles. The "Praying for You..." is from SU and is up on pop dots.
This next card sketch is from a site called cardpattens.blogspot.com. I wanted to use my new Thoughts and Prayers set from SU. I've had it awhile, but have only used one sentiment once. Again, I tried to keep this one simple and not to flashy. The paper is from the same stack as the above. The top ribbon, under the tree is tulle, and I just forgot how to spell it. It is pretty wide, so I scrunched it up under the legs of the brads. The other two ribbons are from SU. The Bee Brad is Basic Grey.

Finally, this card is made from the same "Luxury Paper Pack" as the others, I just used a different color. The sketch is from Jen's SFYTT @ iheart2stamp.com. I also used Our Creative Corner's challenge which was to make an Easter card. I like to kill 2 birds with one stone if I can. The stamp set is from Verve's Everlasting Life. Yes, I finally ordered some Verve and just couldn't wait to play. You may see some cute Verve Bunnies in the future! I added a little bit of lace at the bottom of the panel at the bottom and some garter ribbon in the middle. I used tiny pearls to make the butterfly trail and the butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart and is one of my favs. Finally, a tiny crystal to emphasize the head.
Thanks for stopping by!
