Playing Catch Up

Well, It's been a while since I posted. I have been making cards and getting ready for my November Hostess Club Workshop. I've posted most of these on the SCS website. A lot of my ideas come from there and the CTMH BB.
THis first picture is a mini 3x3 box for Christmas tags. The stamp set is Mery Pursuits and the paper is CTMH's Evensong. This sketch is from Jen Del Muro's SFYTT. I Found this cutie patootie owl on the SCS website. His head is made from a label punch and his arms are cut from my small Nestabilities using my Big Kick. I also used Autumn Type CB embossing folder and Pumpkin #4 sizzlet. He's got a little bit of Stickles on his wings, but I messed up the original owl when I layed the card on the scanner. The Stickles smeared everywhere. The original had Stickles on the ears and on his belly. Had to toss it. :(

This is Fancy Fold Christmas Tree for the Hostess Club Workshop. It is very cool and 3-D. Not too hard to make, though I wouldn't want to make a bunch of them.

Here is another Fancy Fold Card with an evening Dress. I used stickles on the top. I think it looks pretty enough to wear.

Ohhh, Charlie Horse! I love you. He is from Clear Dollar Stamps and there are several more Charlie designs to chose from. The paper is CTMH's Sarsparilla. Perfect for this stamp. Sketch design by Jen Del Muro at iheart2stamp.com

Finally, this is a Bag~A~Lope! Funny name, but a cute sack made from an envelope. I think this stamp set is very elegant looking. It is ctmh's Vintage Christmas.

Well, I hope you enjoyed all of my little projects. I enjoyed making them.

Critter Party SFYTT

Tomorrow I will be working on my November Hostess Club projects. I found some fun ideas tonight on the web.
Just one card tonight. I'm feeling tired and sleepy today, but wanted to give this card a try. I made it for my MIL's birthday. She collects mice at Christmas time, so maybe she will like this one.

This is of course from Jen's (iheart2stamp.com) Saturday Sketch for You To Try.

The Paper is from Scenic Route Paper Company

Stamps are Penny Black ~ Critter Party

I used my SU scalloped punch for the scallops on the light blue paper

& my Nestabilities for the scalloped circles.

Not sure where the flowers and crystal brads came from. Probably Oriental Trading.

Enjoy!

Charlie, Froggies and a Few Good Memories

Oh Charlie Autumn! Isn't he a cutie? He looks like he's having so much fun playing in the leaves. I made this card last night for Jen's (iheart3stamp.com) sketch challenge. I had such a busy weekend, this was the first night I've had to stamp. Charlie is from Clear Dollar Stamps.
The second image is from Penny Black and is called "Green Line". I just love froggies! I collect them and they have almost taken over my "Scrap Pad"! So, I was soo excited when I finally got to use this stamp. The paper on both cards is SU's Haiku. I like it as a nontraditional fall color combination.
Well, just a little bit about my weekend. My cousin (who was born when I was in college..Uggg! I'm getting old) got married this weekend. We had family in from all over. Her dad and my dad are the only family members still living in the Altus area. There are 5 siblings. All of the siblings and their children live elsewhere. So we had people from each coast here. It was a great family reunion. I was able to see one of my cousins that is my age for the first time in about 10 years. Everyone is growing up so fast. Especially the "Big Cousins". We are now all pushing 40. That seems so strange to say. In my mind I'm still a little kid playing on the farm or water skiing from dusk til dawn with Mama Dippy. Anyway, seeing everyone brings back good memories, but also makes me sad for the ones who are no longer with us.
