A Garden of Gardenia's

Well, here is another of Jen's Sketch For You To Try. I try to do these every Saturday. Well, I usually don't get to do them til Sunday. I uploaded my pics last night, but then accidentally deleted them. I was too tired to start over, so I am posting this card today. I wasn't sure about the sketch at first, but as usual, I liked the end product. I chose to use Gardenia Gardenthumb from Stampin Bella. This was my first time to stamp her. She is super cute. I colored her with my Copics. The DP is from Daisy D's Maybe Baby Collection. I also used CTMH's Tulip & Baby Pink. I tried to match the blue-green in the print with some of my CS, but it wouldn't match.
I also used my circle and scalloped circle nestabillities and CB's Birds and Swirls Embossing Folder. Of course I had to use ribbon which is currently my fave embellishment. I love the new Pretty Pens from CTMH.

Finally, I added some Platinum Stickles here & there.
To see other examples of the SFYTT, go to SCS and use keyword SFYTT or go to Jen's website at iheart2stamp.com.

Mojo on Thursday

Hello To You,
Thank you for visiting my blog! I'm finally getting around to Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (week 70) now that it is Thursday night! LOL! I pulled out some old supplies for this one. The stamp set is CTMH's Sunflower Garden. It may be retired, I'm not sure. I was a bit bothered by the fact that sunflowers aren't red, but then I browsed through my Spring Hill catalog and well, this is a daisy. Daisies some in all colors. So just pretend with me. It matches the paper! LOL Ink is CTMH Tulip & Sweet Leaf with a little bit of chocolate for the middle of the flower.
As usual, I mixed company products. I guess this means my style is eclectic. The paper is SU's Bella Rose. (I'm just about out of this. May have to order some more.) I also used Bella's
Baubles, Nestabillities Scalloped Circles & Labels 2 with some Wal~Mart ribbon. The sentiment is SU, but I'm not sure what set. This card is one of 6 that are all just alike that I will be sending out for a Thank You card swap on SCS.
I'm sorry that the scan is not too good. I've tried my digital camera and my scanner. The original always looks better than what I post.
Have a great day & happy stampin!

To Market, To Market We Go

This is my offering for the weekly Sketch for You to Try from Jen's Blog. I will also send it out as a Friendship SWAP on SCS. I used Pinky & Porky from Penny Black. I just love PB stamps! I also used CTMH Priceless Love Word Puzzle. The paper is the last of my Confetti from MME. I used my Copics to color in the image, and added ribbon and paper flowers.
The next few pics are an example of my February Hostess Club Workshop that will be on February 9th.
This is a close up of the embossed heart and paper flowers.

This is the front, close up of the key. It is on pop dots and has a pink ribbon around it. The little metal locks are from Oriental Trading.

Another side view.
And Finally, the top of the Memory Box.
All products are CTMH except the Bird Nestabillities.
Paper: That's Amore,
Ink: Brown Archival
It is super simple to put together.
Well, I had a great 3 day weekend. I can't believe tomorrow is Inauguration Day! I'm not too sure about the "People's Choice" for President, but I think it will be an exciting day for history.
I rearranged my craft room, and I love it. I have a new 6 foot counter to work on. Wow! So much fun. Thanks for stopping by.

Monica Romances on TCP Tuesday

Yes, I spent my Christmas $$ on a few new stamping accessories. The first one being this new House Mouse stamp, Monica Romances. I decided to use it on Jen's TCP Tuesday 41 challenge. Whew! These colors were a booger! The challenge calls for Teal, Pumpkin, and Olive. I didn't have those exact colors, so I matched them with CTMH colors and used Ocean and Autumn Terracotta. The DP is from TAC's Catelynn.

I really had to dig in my ribbon jar to find color matches. I also added new CTMH accessories Pretty Pins & Pewter Designer Brads. I didn't use a card sketch per say, but I am surprised how close this card is to Jen's Saturday Sketch for you to try from 1/10/09. I guess it was still in my subconscious.
Hope your week is going great!
Thanks for looking!

Gerta the Party Goat

When I saw this cute little goat image from Whiff of Joy, I just had to have it. Her given name is Gerda, but I will just call her June. Why June? Well she looks a lot like a little cutey we have on our farm by the same name. You can see a picture of June at the bottom of this post. She looks like she's wearing pants because of the brown hair on her rump & back legs.
Well, we don't usually put clothes on our goats. Ummm... Maybe sometimes we do! Below is Lori. She was a bottle baby born just a little before Easter. She is wearing a little dog t-shirt that says " Some bunny Loves Me". Okay, Yes, we are very strange people! But hey, I live in Oklahoma!
June as a baby.

Here's a little bit more about the card: It is a sketch challenge from Mojo Monday. The stamp is Gerda Celebrating Goat from Whiff of Joy. Paper is Confetti from MME. I used my Copics to color the Gerta/June and added some ribbon, paper flowers, rinestones brads and used pop dots on the main image & the flowers.
Enjoy my Babies!

Correction

That website should be tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com
Sorry

More challenges on Sunday

Happy Sunday! Well for me, it's Laundry Day & Challenge Day. I love to surf SCS and Blogs to find different challenges. This first card is a first for me. It is TECC50 on SCS. The sketch is from Tayloredexpresseions.blogspot.com. She encouraged participants to use cupcakes, so I used 3 different stamp sets. The first one, and most obvious, is Cuppacakeabella. She really is so fun. I used Copics to color her along with Stickles on her dress and a Bella Bauble on the cupcake. Both sentiments are from CTMH. "Hey there Cupcake" is from Cupcake Sprinkles, "Happy Birthday" is from For Every Occasion. The final bitty cupcake is from Penny Black's Critter Party. The original stamp is the one with the 3 mice blowing out the cupcake candle. I just cut the mice off. The cupcake was the right size, so I improvised! The paper is TAC's Catelynne, and the ink is CTMH's Ocean. Okay, I'll try not to be so long winded on this one. It is two challenges in one. I used Jen's sketch challenge and Our Creative Corner's Color Challenge. We were told to choose two shades of blue along with a neutral color. Well, Cocoa (brown) is neutral isn't it? My two blues, I chose from CTMH ... Indian Corn Blue and Moonstruck. I also used their Free Spirit Paper and the new Pretty Pins in the ribbon. The stamp set is Inkadinkado's Birds Galore. And yes I added crystal brads, paper flowers and some ribbon. Ya know I luv to Foo Foo! LOL
Don't know if you know this, but you can double click on an image and see it full screen. If you do this, you must promise not to notice my mistakes!
On a personal note, my friend Saundra came over Friday night. I had such a fun time making cards with her. It really is more fun to make cards or scrapbook with someone else! Ya know my doggies don't talk much, & then know no gossip! LOL
Well, thank you for enduring my ramblings! I hope you enjoy my cards!
Tata for now!

It's a New Year full of Sketches!

I've been a busy girl today. I made 7 cards today. That is alot for me because I am extremely slow! This first one, I used Jen's sketch for you to try at iheart2stamp.com. I use SU's Bella Rose and CTMH's Heartthrob stamp. It was December's Stamp Of the Month. The ribbon & Baubles are from Bella's/
This cute little Chihuahua is from Inkadinkadoo...I think, but I wouldn't swear to it. I needed a few Thank Yous for some of the girls at work. I just love this little guy! The sketch I had stashed away, and I'm not sure where it is from. It is card sketch #147, but I don't know where it goes...SCS? Or PCP??
This one one is similar to one I made earlier in the week for my Open House. The paper is SU again (Green Tea) and the stamp is CTMH's Ms. On the Go. The sketch from SCS Vol01 with a twist of hardware but, um, I guess I forgot the hardware! Oopps. For someone who teachers for a living, I sure don't follow directions very well! LOL.

Well I hope you enjoyed the cards. I go back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks off for Christmas vacation. Do you think the boss will let me take a nap at 1:00? I'll try to post tomorrow with details about the upcoming workshop on February 9. Right now, I'm too tired and there is more laundry to fold.
Have a super week!
