Eli like Challenges

I made a few cards for SFYTT and the OCC Challenge. The OCC challenge was to use the colors More Mustard, Bashful Blue, and Not Quite Navy. Did that! I even had some old CTMH "At the Game" DP with those colors. How lucky! The image is Whipper Snapper's "Eli & Frogger".

Friday night before I even knew what the challenges were, I decided I would make a boy card. I needed a couple of cute cards for birthdays and didn't really have any I liked. So you may see a few more boy cards in the future. Anyway, I originally made 3 different cards to see which one I liked best. You can see the prototypes below. The top card is my favorite. The middle one originally did not have the light blue patch under the buttons. I liked the final look of the first card so well, I decided to RIP the buttons off of card 2 and add a patch. Somehow, in the revamping, I had a little tear. I am so disappointed.

Brekyn wanted to know what the brown stuff on his face was. I thought it was obvious, but just in case it's not, It is suppose to be dirt. LOL.
Thanks for stopping by.

Chicks with Mojo

Well, How 'bout one more. This is a new Whipper Snapper stamp I received a few weeks ago called Chicken Clique. I love it! I used my Bo Bunny paper again and paper pieced the chicks. I'm really in to paper piecing my stamps lately. So fun. Everything else is pretty normal. I just added ribbon, orange baubles, and a Pretty Pin from CTMH. As an afterthought, I found some tiny pearls to stick on Chick #3's necklace. It really pops!
Oh yeah, this is Monday, March 23, 2009's Mojo Monday sketch. I made this card for Roe to give to a friend of his who just found out she has cancer. He did not want a sad card. I definitely don't think this is a sad card!

I'm Baaaack with a Cute Flutterby

Well, I'm back after a long absence. Where have I been? Just busy, busy, busy. Goat Shows, spa, doctor, painting, following kids, work...40th BIRTHDAY!! UGG All is good, just living life.
This is another stamp from Stamping Bella called Flutterby. I love all the Huggabugs. I have about four. I used Jen's Saturday SFYTT and some new flower embellishments from SU. Paper, baubles and spiced marmalade Stickles are from my spa trip to Tulsa. (Yeah, I googled scrapbooking stores in Tulsa and made my hubby take me!LOL)
Okay, so I loved this orange and bright paper from BoBunny. I was so excited when I found stickles to match (love the color) and I had felt flowers to already at home. But, when I put the card together, well, I think it might be to much. Is this an UGLY card. I think it might be. Anyway, I'm going to link it to Jen's Mr. Linky. Hopefully, I will win some blog candy. Cross your fingers for me!
See ya soon!

Fluey SFYTT

Hello All,
Thanks for stopping by! I finally used a new color! I changed from blue and brown to blue and black. I really love how this card turned out. I used lots and lots of new products. I received a big order from Stamping Bella's this week. As you can tell, I used as much of it as I could on this card. Fluey Huggabug is new. Isn't she the cutest! I chose her because I am making this card for my across the street neighbor. She was in a bad skiing accident today. She may have to have brain surgery tomorrow. Please, keep this sweet girl in your prayers.
Okay, a little more about the card. I also used SU's Thoughts & Prayers for the sentiment. The inside of the card says "Wishing You a Quick and Complete Recovery." I bought the DP at my LSS. It is from Stemma. I have not heard of this company, but I do like the patterns and how they coordinate. The CS is CTMH's black and crystal blue. The ribbon and baubles are Bellas. This new Tuille was a bit hard to use. I finally ended up doing a 2 strand twist so use could see each color better. I am used to making big gaudy bows for presents using tuille, but it was a little bit more difficult trying to make one this size. Finally, I added Stickles to the hat and used pop dots on the oval, Fluey and the sentiment.
As usual, I think this card is much cuter in person, but I hope you enjoyed it anyway. I probably won't post again for awhile, it is Spring Break and me and the Hubby are going to a Spa for a few days. Aren't you jealous!

A Premium Girl and Her Goat

If your looking for a card, scroll down to the bottom of this post!

She's The Best!
Well, we think so anyway!
Brekyn showed 2 goats in the County Livestock Show this past weekend.

Brek with Mike Berry of Cotton Growers Gin and Cathy Fowler ~ the cotton insurance lady.

She made the premium sale with her weather (boy). She was the 4th of the only 4 goats they took to the premium sale. Most animals will bring about $2 or $3 a pound, but her Papa John and some of his business friends had a little bidding war! The final bid was $52 a pound!! The little stink made over $5,100!

The one on the left if Brekyn with her First in class weather.

You can see the judge on the left eyeing Brek's Goat.

This is Brek setting her goat up. Don't you love his socks. The weekend before, she won Junior Showmenship at the local show. We are very proud of both goats because they came from our herd. They are not "store bought".

Now for a card.
This is Mudpie with Jellybeans. I used the Saturday SFYTT and FREE Delicate Dots paper I got from SU's Sell-a-bration. Not much else to say about this one. It is for a Easter swap I am doing on SCS.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Deer!

This is my weekly post of sketch challenges. This first sketch is from Our Creative Corner. I liked the elegance of the sketch and decided to go with a more serious theme, so I chose to make a sympathy card. I never have them when I need them. The patterned paper is from CTMH's Emporium. The cardstock is Chocolate and Crystal Blue with some SU Craft Paper. I used my Cuttlebug Birds & Swirls Embossing Folder and Nestabilities Scalloped Oval Die. The other ovals are cut using the Creative Memories System. The Butterfly Punch is from Martha Stewart. I've been dying to use it and finally got the chance. Yeah! I printed the sentiment on my computer. The butterfly stamp is CTMH's Fluttering Love stamped in Crystal Blue.
This next sketch is Jen's SFYTT. I'm continuing with the serious look. I am trying to get a better variety of cards. It's hard for me to make masculine cards. Even though these colors and stamp are okay for a man, I just had to add a feminine touch with the bow. Couldn't help myself.

This stamp set is from Stampabilities and is simply called Doe & Fawn. So pretty! We see these a lot out on our farm. The babies are so cute. Again, I used Nestabilities Labels 2 and Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes Embossing Folder. The DP is last week's scraps of Paper Studio and CTMH's Chocolate and SU's Craft paper. I left off one embellishment from the sketch, but all that I could think of to put there was a flower, and I didn't think it looked good. Sorry Jen!
